Taraji P Henson Didn't Join Hollywood For Awards, But For The Love Of Art

Golden Globe Award-winning star Taraji P Henson, mentions that she has chosen a career path in Hollyood and entered showbiz merely for the sake of love for art. She added, getting the awards are like icing on cake for her.

The Emmy nominee actress feels that all the recognitions, awards, accolades and fame she is getting only proves that she is doing her job right. Taraji says, she is only focused in bettering her performance on each and every occasion that she plays a character on-screen.

"I didn't come to Hollywood to win awards. I came here to work, and to fall in love over and over again with this craft that I love and studied," said Henson.

"It's more about the craft and how many characters can I check off my bucket list. The awards and accolades, that's just a reassurance for me that I'm doing the right thing. It's more about inspiration to me and how can I touch a life through my work as an artiste." She added further.

Henson will be seen returning back to the small screen, with the series Empire, in its third season. It is all scheduled to air on Star World in India.
