Tippi Hedren Has No Sense Of Taste Or Smell For Ten Years

Actress Tippi Hedren says, she hasn't felt any taste or smell for ten long years. The Birds actress says that due to absence of the sense of taste or smell, she cannot enjoy her meals.

She says that her two accidental falls, during which she had hit her head badly in the same place, is the reason for her suffering.

"I have no sense of taste or smell anymore, so I don't care about food. I had two falls and hit my head in the same place, which affected my olfactory nerves. It was over 10 years ago. I love chocolate but that's because I loved chocolate before," said Tippi Hedren.

Tippi Hedren also termed her condition as very dangerous and unfortunate. She had removed all the gas-fuelled appliances from her home, as she would not be able to find out any leakage if there, at home.

"It's dangerous having no smell though because I cant smell smoke. I've had all the gas appliances taken out of the house." Tippi added.

The actress is happy that her daughter and granddaughter have chosen to be actors. However, Tippi said she didn't suggest her daughter Melanie about it in anyway.

"I didn't suggest it to her, she just came home one day and said, 'Mum, I'm going to be in a movie,' " said Tippi.
