Indian Actress Priyanka Bose All Set To Make Oscar Debut

The Lion Actress Priyanka Bose, who plays the critical role of Kamla Munshi in the movie is all set to make her first Oscar appearance.

Garth Davis directed Lion has bagged six Academy Awards nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor in Supporting Role (Male), Best Actor in Supporting Role( Female), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Original Music Score.

But for the Indian actress Priyanka Bose, who plays the role of Kamla Munshi, the biological mother of Saroo in the film, has special reasons to celebrate. Priyanka Bose, who will be attending the grand award show with the entire Lion team, would make her debut to Oscar.

Talking about her plans to be at the 2017 Oscar Awards Ceremony, Priyanka Bose said, "There are plans about it. Let's see. It is a big honour and Lion is a special film. I hope to be there."

Priyanka Bose then said, Lion is a very special film for her, and also for the audience. She said everyone could relate and resonate to the theme and story of the movie.

"It's a story that will resonate with everyone. I am glad people liked it and the Indian premier was a success." Said Priyanka Bose in a statement.

Lion is a movie about a story of an Indian boy, who gets separated from his mother and family in the railway station and then ends up being miles away from his home. The boy who is then adopted by an Australian family finally manages to search down his own parent and family.
