Feluda to be re-made in Hollywood? Yes, according to a renowned Bengali tabloid, a film on the famous detective character Feluda aka Pradosh C. Mitter, created by legendary Oscar-winning writer and filmmaker Satyajit Ray is to re-made in Hollywood.
According to a close source, as claimed by the tabloid, Slumdog Millionaire famed director Danny Boyle is going to helm the direction of this film and renowned Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom has been selected to play the lead role as the famous literary Bengali sleuth 'Feluda'.
Apart from Orlando Bloom, another celebrated Hollywood actor of British-Indian origin, Dev Patel has also been inducted in the film. He will be seen in the character of 'Tapesh Ranjan Mitra', aka 'Topshe', Feluda's cousin and assistant.
However, the character of much-needed comic relief 'Jatayu' will be there in the film or not is not yet known. This film will be the screen adaptation of the famous story 'Feluda in London' by Satyajit Ray and shooting will be done mainly in England and India.
According to the director, the story will not be represented exactly as presented on the literary piece and there will be few expected changes to suit the global audience. However, much said above, the credibility of this news published in the tabloid is yet to be authenticated.
