Ending
all
speculations
and
talks
about
who
would
play
the
character
of
the
time
travelling
soldier,
Cable,
in
Deadpool
2,
it
has
been
confirmed
now
that
No
Country
for
Old
Men
actor
Josh
Brolin
sealed
the
deal
for
four
potential
movies.
According
to
the
reports,
Brolin
will
be
seen
portraying
the
character
of
Cable
in
director
David
Leitch's
forthcoming
and
much-anticipated
film
Deadpool
2.
However,
there
were
some
big
names
in
contention
to
play
this
character,
including
Michael
Shannon,
David
Harbour
and
Brad
Pitt.
Despite
Brolin
sealing
a
new
contract
as
Cable
with
Fox,
he
will
still
continue
his
association
with
Marvel
Studios
as
Thanos.
It
will
be
interesting
to
see
how
Brolin
manages
to
juggle
his
role
and
characters
efficiently
between
the
two.
Ryan
Reynolds,
who
plays
the
lead
as
Deadpool,
posted
a
humorous
tweet
following
the
confirmation
of
Josh
Brolin
to
play
Cable
in
Deadpool
2.
"The
f***,
Fox!
You
can't
play
2
characters
in
the
same
universe!!
Josh
Brolin
was
in
Sicario
and
I
was
in
Sabrina
The
Teenage
Witch." Said
Ryan
Reynolds.
The
character
of
Cable
has
been
created
jointly
by
Louise
Simonson
and
Rob
Liefeld
and
has
been
viewed
exactly
the
opposite
of
what
Deadpool
is.
Cable
is
the
son
of
Scott
Summers,
also
known
as
the
X-Men
Cyclops
and
thus
like
the
father
he
is
more
controlled
by
his
thoughts
and
actions.
