Ultimately, she won the first Oscar for her movie Kramer vs Kramer in the year 1980.

Meryl Streep is very excited to get her 20th Oscar nomination which came after she openly slammed President Donald Trump on the stage of Golden Globe Awards 2017. Streep, who is an ardent follower of Hillary Clinton took down Donald Trump in her award acceptance speech.

In reply to which Trump even called her an over-rated actress. "Meryl Streep, one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood, doesn't know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes. She is a Hillary flunky who lost big." Stated Trump.

But this award nomination proved enough to silence her critics all over.
