The talented Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal feels that Ryan Reynolds should have earned an Oscar call this year for his magnificent performance in Deadpool. The actor feels that Ryan Reynolds has been unlucky this year.

"We talk about brilliant performances all the time, you know, the actors who tear themselves apart for their roles, which I'm a believer in. But then I look at Ryan Reynolds in 'Deadpool' and I say, 'No one can do that but him'," Gyllenhaal said in a statement.

Jake Gyllenhaal brings up the fact of Ryan Reynold's struggle in the industry and explains how he revived his almost drowned career at the Hollywood with such a strong performance in Deadpool. Gyllenhaal also terms this career revival of Ryan Reynolds as brilliant.

"As an artist he struggled for several years to figure that out and it's all there on the screen. And it's brilliant," Gyllenhaal added further.

Meanwhile, there are reports that former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan might join the cast of Deadpool 2 as Reynolds shared a teaser picture of himself along with James Bond actor and Jackman with a caption "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil."

Pierce Brosnan will probably be seen in the character of Cable in Deadpool 2.
