Stephen Colbert To Anchor Emmy Awards 2017

Comedian and popular TV anchor Stephen Colbert has been roped in by CBS as the host of 2017 Emmy Awards.

Renowned TV host, Stephen Colbert, known for his show titled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, has been officially named by CBS as the revered host of 69th Primetime Emmy Awards 2017.

Colbert, who is very excited about this development says, "This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys, period. Both in person and around the globe."

"We're excited to kick off the new season and celebrate the top achievements in television with Stephen Colbert as host of the Primetime Emmys," said Jack Sussman, the EVP of CBS Entertainment.

"Stephen is the ultimate master of ceremonies with award-winning creative talents, and as we've seen the past few months, he has a fearless passion for live television." Jack Sussman added.

"We look forward to honoring television's best while entertaining audiences with the creative energy and sharp comedy of Stephen Colbert." Sussman stated further.

On the other hand, the newly appointed CEO and Chairman of TV Academy Hayma Washington welcomed Stephen Colbert saying he is thrilled at Stephen Colbert's association with the Emmys.
