The Greatest Welcome Ever Says xXx Director D J Caruso

Renowned film director D J Caruso, who landed in India for the promotion of his much-anticipated film xXx: Return of Xander Cage, says he was touched by the salutation he received in India. He even says this has been "the greatest welcome ever."

Caruso, who was accompanied by the Hollywood actor Vin Diesel and Indian star Deepika Padukone were greeted with 'dhol' and other typical Indian musical instruments. They were also received by women dressed in traditional Marathi nauvari sarees and yellow turbans.

"The greatest welcome ever! 'XXX India Premiere. Wow and a blessing to go with it," Caruso said in one of his tweets.

Caruso seemed to have enjoyed the craze Indian people hold for movies and the film stars. He mentioned an incident in his tweets about how an enthusiastic cameraman tried to capture Vin Diesel and Deepika from his bike.

"Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel chased by photographers on streets of Mumbai. I am in car behind them," Caruso tweeted.

Caruso's two-day India trip has been packed with music, drama, red carpet gala, fan meet and mainly the promotion of the film xXx: Return of Xander Cage, for which they are in India. The film will release in India on 14th January Saturday, prior to 20th January, the worldwide release date.

According to the sources, there are plans to serve the whole crew of xXx with delicious Indian dishes to give a "splendid taste of India." And make their Indian trip a memorable one.
