Michael Bay Destroys Stonehenge For The Transformers: The Last Knight

Just like any other action film franchise, Transformers also features a series of explosions and gunfire to highlight the devastation caused by the human and metallic alien battle on earth.

The superficial devastation inducted in the film is not only for the sake of supporting its storyline, but also the director Michael Bay's love for the explosion. So much so that Michael Bay has destroyed one major historical monument in the film Transformers: The Last Knight.

Well, that certainly did not happen in real life though, it occurred in the Transformers when Michael Bay actually replicated the prehistoric Stonehenge monument in Wiltshire, England only to get it destroyed in the film.

"I mean the man took a whole crew and cast and unit to Stonehenge and then by the time he had made it down the road, built another Stonehenge just so he could blow it up." said actress Laura Haddock.

"Michael's sets are practical, so you would think that maybe 90 percent of this film is done on green screen, and it's really not. He loves an explosion. He absolutely loves them, so if he can use them safely, he will." Laura Haddock added.

"Often you're running through what feels like a genuine ... battlefield. Something that kind of builds your adrenaline. You're absolutely experiencing what it feels like to have an explosion go off just behind you. And you're just running, running for your life." The actress stated further.
