night
after
a
long
battle
with
Parkinson's
Disease.
The
news
was
announced
by
his
son
Robert
Downey
Jr
through
his
official
Instagram
page.

night,
dad
passed
peacefully
in
his
sleep
after
years
of
enduring
the
ravages
of
Parkinson's
..he
was
a
true
maverick
filmmaker,
and
remained
remarkably
optimistic
throughout...
According
to
my
stepmoms
calculations,
they
were
happily
married
for
just
over
2000
years.

and

Downey
Sr
rose

fame
in
the

film
industry
with
his
directorial
ventures
during
the
1950s-60s
period.
He
made
a
mark
with
his
1969-released
directorial
venture
Putney
Swope.
Some
of
his

notable
works
are
the

movie

and

Palace.
As
a
filmmaker,
his
final
feature
film
was
the
1997

He
had
later
made

documentary

in
2005.

actor,
