20-Years Prison Sentence For R&B singer R Kelly In Federal Child P*rn Case
Already serving 30 years for sex trafficking, the 56-year-old R&B singer R Kelly has been sentenced to 20 years in prison following his conviction last year on charges of child pornography and enticement of a minor.

R&B singer R. Kelly was handed a 20-year prison sentence On Thursday in a Chicago federal courtroom for charges related to child pornography and enticing a minor, following his conviction last year.
CNN reported that Kelly is already serving a 30-year sentence for his 2021 conviction on sex trafficking and racketeering charges in a New York federal court.
During the sentencing, US District Judge Harry D. Leinenweber stated that 19 years of the sentence would be served concurrently with Kelly's existing sentence, with the remaining year to be served consecutively. Kelly was found guilty in September of three counts of producing child pornography and three counts of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity. An appeal for a new trial was rejected last week. According to CNN, before the sentencing, a statement from one of Kelly's victims, known as "Jane," was read out by attorney Christopher Brown.
It read, "I have lost my dignity due to Robert Kelly. I have lost my dreams due to Robert Kelly. I have lost my teenage years to Robert Kelly." The victim further alleged that Kelly was "abusive and dominating" and had caused her to become suicidal. Referencing the notorious sex tape video shown during the trial, in which Kelly urinated on a victim, Jane added, "I will forever be the girl that R Kelly peed on."
The sentencing hearing marks the culmination of nearly three decades of accusations that Kelly had sexually abused underage girls, with allegations first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times. Kelly was indicted in 2002 on child pornography charges for allegedly recording himself having sex with an underage girl, though he was later acquitted in 2008, according to CNN.
