Epic filmmaker Christopher Nolan's biographical thriller Oppenheimer is shaking the box office worldwide after its release on July 21. The movie is based on the biography book named American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin J Sherwin.

Oppenheimer is the life and journey of J Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who was pivotal in developing the first nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project. Cillian Murphy played the protagonist's role and breathed life into the character with conviction and delivered an Oscar-worthy performance.

Unlike Nolan's previous films where he tests the intelligence of the film viewer, this movie for which he wrote the screenplay is more about dialogue and drama. The movie is continuing to earn applause and critical acclaim with each passing day.

The movie, which set a record in advance bookings for an international film in India by selling several lakhs of tickets on its first day, eventually set a benchmark in the box office collection.
