Teletubbies Sun Baby Pregnant: Jess Smith, who captured the hearts of millions as the iconic Sun baby on the Teletubbies, has revealed that she is expecting her first child. The former child star, now in her late twenties regularly appeared on the beloved children's show from 1997 to 2003.

Jess Smith took to Instagram on Wednesday, and shared a heartwarming post of her sonogram and captioned it, "When two becomes three." In the post, she also tagged her long-term boyfriend, Ricky Latham.
The news of Jess Smith's pregnancy was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from her fans.

Meanwhile, the Teletubbies series made its debut on screens in 1997, featuring four distinctively colored characters known as the Teletubbies. The show quickly became a pop culture sensation and received multiple BAFTA awards during its original run.
In a 2015 interview with BBC South East, Jess Smith revealed how she landed the role of the Sun baby. She said, "I was being weighed at the hospital. My mum took me, and it just happened to be the same time that the producer of the old series had come in and wanted the hospital to get in contact with them if they'd seen any smiley babies."
Interestingly, Jess Smith chose to keep her identity as the Sun baby hidden, however, she revealed it in 2015. She stated, "I used to hide it, but after a lot of encouragement from my friends at university, I've gained the confidence to come out with it." Reflecting on her resemblance to the baby featured on the show, she added, "I am the sun from the Teletubbies. Everyone says they can see the likeness between my face now and me as a baby. I still have a baby face. I haven't changed much either. I am still giggly."
