'Citadel: Diana', an Italian series in the 'Citadel' universe, is premiering globally on Amazon Prime Video on October 10. The spy thriller features Matilda De Angelis as an undercover agent trapped in enemy territory, with production by Cattleya and Amazon MGM Studios.

Amazon Prime Video has unveiled a teaser trailer and fresh images for the Italian series "Citadel: Diana." This new show, set in the universe of the popular "Citadel" series, will premiere globally on Prime Video on October 10. Produced by Cattleya and Amazon MGM Studios, with executive production by the Russo Brothers' AGBO, it promises to captivate audiences worldwide.
The storyline centres around Diana Cavalieri, portrayed by Matilda De Angelis. Diana is an undercover agent for Citadel, a spy agency. Set in Milan in 2030, she finds herself trapped behind enemy lines within Manticore, a powerful enemy syndicate. To escape and vanish forever, she must rely on Edo Zani, Manticore Italy's heir.
Production and Creative Team
Directed by Arnaldo Catinari and developed by Alessandro Fabbri, who also serves as head writer, "Citadel: Diana" boasts a strong creative team. Gina Gardini is the showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers include the Russo Brothers, David Weil, and Midnight Radio. The series receives support from the Italian Ministry of Culture - Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual.
"Citadel: Diana" follows the success of the first season of "Citadel," which starred Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Each series within this universe explores different regions with top local talent. Following this Italian Original will be an Indian series titled "Citadel: Honey Bunny," featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Additionally, production for Season Two of "Citadel," starring Madden and Chopra Jonas, will commence this year.
Cattleya's Role in Production
Cattleya is one of Italy's leading film and television producers. Known for hits like "Romanzo Criminale" and "Gomorrah," they have also gained international acclaim with series such as "ZeroZeroZero" and "Suburra." Recently, Cattleya launched Moontrip to focus on genre films and series development. They also partnered with ITV Studios to create Cattleya Producciones, a scripted label specialising in TV drama and films for Spanish and international markets.
