The official HBO Max YouTube channel just released a trailer for a prequel series for the Dune movie franchise. The series is titled 'Dune: Prophecy' and the trailer for it can be watched below.

Plot Details Of The HBO Max Series 'Dune: Prophecy'

The series has been described by the OTT platform as follows, "From the expansive universe of 'Dune,' created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, 'Dune: Prophecy' follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit."

The series is based on the book 'Sisterhood Of Dune', a spin-off book of the original Dune trilogy, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

Cast And Crew Behind The Series 'Dune: Prophecy'

The series is going to be co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, with Alison Schapker acting as showrunner and Anna Foerster directing many of the episodes of the series. Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, Jon Spaihts, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert will act as executive producers for the series.
