The movie is set to take place somewhere in between the films 'John Wick 3: Parabellum' and 'John Wick Chapter 4'. In this spin-off film, we see that 'The Director' from the third John Wick film has begun training a new ballerina assassin, that being Eve Macarro. Macarro is trained in the ways of the Ruska Roma before she sets off on a quest to avenge her father's death by killing everything behind the murder.
