Inside Out 2 Release Date In India: Director Kelsey Mann On Choice of Bringing Out ‘Teenage Emotions’ In Film

Pixar's Inside Out 2 is stirring interest with the introduction of teenage emotions: Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, and Ennui, within Riley's mind. The original emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgustwill make their return, causing an emotional whirlwind in this anticipated sequel.

Director's Insight

Director Kelsey Mann shared his views on depicting teenage emotions. "I have two kids—they're 16 and 15—so I'm smack dab in the middle of it," he said. He added, "I zeroed in on Riley being a teenager because that was a hard time in my life. The first film helped people talk about their feelings, and I want to do the same for teenagers."

New Elements in Riley's Mind

Audiences will witness a change in Riley's mind as a construction team arrives to make way for new emotions. Joy and the other original five emotions are taken aback by the new arrivals. Inside Out 2 is directed by Kelsey Mann and features a stellar voice cast, including Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, Phyllis Smith, Lewis Black, and Ayo Edebiri.

Inside Out 2 is scheduled to release in Indian theatres on June 14.
