Why Is Janhvi Kapoor & Suriya's Karna Shelved: Reports claims that Janhvi Kapoor & Suriya's upcoming movie Karna has allegedly been shelved by the makers. The movie was announced to be Suriya's debut in Hindi-language film industry. According to the reports, the movie Karna was supposed to be made on the budget of Rs. 350 Crore. And, 15 Crore was already spent on the pre-production of the movie. So what happened all of a sudden that led the makers to stop the making o the movie? Let us discover.

Why Is Janhvi Kapoor & Suriya's Karna Shelved By Makers?

The entire cast set of Karna was locked. The pre-production and look test was in process. And, now the reports come that Karna has been shelved by the makers. Bollywood Hungama reports a source saying, "Though many are told that the film is being pushed but the HODs of various departments have been told that the film is cancelled, which is very sad for many of us who were looking forward to working on this big project."

Who Were The Casts Of Suriya?

According to the reports Janhvi Kapoor and Suriya were supposed to play the lead role in the movie. The other cast members who were confirmed to be a part were Ali Fazal, Vijay Varma, and Avinash Tiwari. Karna was supposed to be a mythological epic drama. Besides hindi, the movie was also expected to release in Telugu, Tamil, and more languages. Karna was directed Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, one who directed famous Rang De Basanti. In the mythological drama, Janhvi was supposed to play the role of Draupadi.
