The official TMS entertainment YouTube channel just revealed a teaser for what appears to be a new anime film featuring one of the most notorious and legendary thieves in anime history. The teaser is for the franchise of 'Lupin The 3rd' and the teaser for it can be watched below.

For those of you that fell in love with the character and his films in his early days, or those of you that are curious about what this new 2025 film of Lupin will be all about, here are some of the things you should know about 'Lupin The 3rd The Movie'.

In the teaser for the film, we can see phrases and monologues from a variety of different characters, all obsessed with Lupin in one way or another, before it shifts to Lupin III explaining that in his career he's been chased after many people. But in the situation he currently finds himself in, an entire country seems to be chasing after him. He's not alone though, as he's got his best friend, Daisuke Jigen with him, and his significant other, Fujiko Mine. and occasional partner, Goemon Ishikawa XIII. There is also Inspector Zenigata, who seems to be at the forefront of the chase to catch Lupin III.

After this and several action scenes that may suggest great violence is about to unfold, we're hit with the title card and the phrase 'You haven't seen the real Lupin III yet.', implying both that the Lupin in the story may not be who we think he is, and that this movie will go above and beyond any 'Lupin The 3rd' film we've seen so far.

Takeshi Koike will be the director of the film 'Lupin The 3rd The Movie' alongside script writer Yuya Takahashi, music composer James Shimoji, and Katsuhito Ishii as creative advisor.
