The early box office predictions are in and as per international sources, the film is all set to break multiple records looking to do $100 million-plus over its Wednesday through Sunday opening during Thanksgiving week as per tracking service Quorum. This would be the biggest opening for a movie opening on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, a record that currently belongs to Disney's 2013 Frozen with $93.5M (Frozen 2 opened the Friday before Thanksgiving).

Moana 2's predicted success would make 2024 a big year for Disney as the studio continues to break records at the global box office. Inside Out 2 that released earlier this year, emerged to become the highest grossing film of the year and the all time highest earning animated film.
