One Direction Members Express Grief Over Liam Payne's Death

One Direction Grieves Liam Payne s Death

Just recently, news came out that singer, songwriter, and former member of boy band One Direction, Liam Payne jumped off of a balcony. The singer was announced dead shortly after the incident.

Several of his band members have taken to social media to express their grief over this incident. Louis Tomlinson took to Instagram to express how much Payne meant to Tomlinson both as a friend and as a member of One Direction. In a message directed at Payne, Tomlinson wrote, "I feel beyond lucky to have had you in my life but I'm really struggling with the idea of saying goodbye. I'm so grateful that we got even closer since the band, speaking on the phone for hours , reminiscing about all the thousands of amazing memories we had together is a luxury I thought I'd have with you for life. I would have loved to share the stage with you again but it wasn't to be."

Zayn Malik also wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his regrets at not having been able to exchange a hug and goodbye with the late singer and former bandmate.

Harry Styles also wrote a message not only expressing how well he thought of Liam Payne, but also expressing his concern over the well-being of his family, friends and relatives.

Liam Payne was staying at the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to this incident, the hotel staff had actually called the police, asking them for help as there was "an aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol". They had expressed concern for the man's life as his room also had a balcony and he was in danger of falling off. Afterwards, staff saw Liam Payne fall off the third floor balcony of the hotel. Medical professionals who arrived at the scene said that the singer had received "cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries", leading to an almost immediate death.
