Netflix has unveiled the long-awaited trailer for The Electric State, a gripping tale set in a hauntingly beautiful retro-futuristic 1990s. In a world reeling from a failed uprising, where exiled robots and a fractured society struggle to coexist, Michelle (Millie Bobby Brown) finds her life forever changed by the arrival of a mysterious robot. Carrying a connection to her lost brother, who she presumed dead, this unexpected visitor sets her on an emotional journey through a dystopian world filled with danger, hope, all for the search for family.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film, inspired by Simon Stålenhag's graphic novel, stars Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt in leading roles and premieres globally on Netflix on March 14.

The synopsis of it says, "Set in the aftermath of a robot uprising in an alternate version of the '90s, The Electric State follows an orphaned teenager who ventures across the American West with a cartoon-inspired robot, a smuggler, and his sidekick in search of her younger brother."
