The official Netflix YouTube channel just recently uploaded the second trailer for their upcoming drama film produced by Denzel Washington and his son, Malcolm Washington. The movie is called 'The Piano Lesson' and the second trailer for it can be watched below.

For those of you that are curious to know what this movie is all about, here are some of the things you should know about 'The Piano Lesson'.

Plot Details Of The Film 'The Piano Lesson'

The movie has been described by Netflix as follows, "Set in 1936 Pittsburgh during the aftermath of the Great Depression, The Piano Lesson follows the lives of the Charles family in the Doaker Charles household and an heirloom, the family piano, which documents the family history through carvings made by their enslaved ancestor. A family clash over an heirloom piano explodes. The battle between brother and sister - one hopes to sell it, the other refuses to give it up - unleashes haunting truths about how the past is perceived and who defines a family legacy."

Cast And Crew Behind The Movie 'The Piano Lesson'

The original scriptwriter for the play was August Wilson, whose estate actually approached Denzel Washington to produce the film. While Washington picked it up immediately and helped build much of the crew behind it, he left it alone after a few weeks on set as he saw that his son, director Malcolm Washington, had almost everything handled by himself. The aged actor reportedly said, "I was like, 'There's really nothing for me to do here, I'm just in the way.' I'm not saying this because he's my son, but he's very talented." The screenplay is also partly written by Malcolm Washington alongside Virgil Williams.

The cast of the film features prominent actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, Ray Fisher, Danielle Deadwyler, Michael Potts, Corey Hawkins, Erykah Badu, and more.

When And Where Can I Watch 'The Piano Lesson'
