'Uzumaki: Animated TV Series' Trailer Released For Netflix, Coming This December

The Netflix Anime YouTube account just recently dropped a trailer for an animated series that captures the horror of one of the most terrifying comics in manga history. The show is called 'Uzumaki', a series based on a manga of the same name by horror writer Junji Ito, and its trailer can be watched below.
For those that are big fans of the work of Junji Ito and his horror manga, or those of you that are curious about what this show has to offer, here are some of the things you should know about 'Uzumaki: Animated TV Series'.
Plot Details Of The Animated Horror Series 'Uzumaki'
Netflix has described the upcoming horror animated series 'Uzumaki' in the following manner, "Strange occurrences are happening in the town of Kurouzu-cho... Eyes are rolling, tongues are coiling, bodies twist unnaturally. Can anyone escape the curse of the spirals?"
For those that have read the original manga or other manga by Junji Ito already know this, but the series is expected to have a grotesque amount of body horror so those that feel queasy just thinking about it should think twice before watching. That being said, for those that love the creative and thematic use of body horror will very much enjoy the series.

The series 'Uzumaki' is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama, who worked on it alongside character designer Hirokazu Satou, sound director Yasushi Nagura, and music composer Colin Stetson.
The cast list for the series includes many voice talents such as Shinichiro Miki, Yuki Satake, Yuko Sanpei, Ami Fukushima, and more.
