Discovery) is all set to unveil the Academy Award Nominated and Golden Globe-winning for Best Motion Picture Drama , The Brutalist , in theaters on February 28, 2025 . This sweeping historical drama directed by Brady Corbet stars a distinguished ensemble cast, with Academy Award winner Adrien Brody taking on the lead role, delivering a performance rich in complexity. Accompanying are fellow Academy Award winner Felicity Jones , along with acclaimed actors Guy Pearce and Joe Alwyn, each contributing their remarkable talents to this compelling narrative.
The Brutalist follows the gripping journey of László Toth, portrayed by Adrien Brody , a Hungarian-Jewish architect who, having survived the horrors of the Holocaust, embarks on a new life in the United States. Separated from his wife, Erzsébet (played by Felicity Jones ), who remains trapped in Eastern Europe with their niece in the aftermath of the war, László is left to navigate the challenges of a foreign land on his own. He settles in Pennsylvania, where his extraordinary architectural talent is soon recognized by Harrison Lee Van Buren (played by Guy Pearce) , a wealthy and influential industrialist. However, as László begins to establish himself, he learns that success, power, and the pursuit of a lasting legacy come at a steep and often personal price. The film explores themes of survival, identity, and the sacrifices made in the pursuit of one's dreams.
