Anaconda Review (Early Review): Is Paul Rudd-Jack Black Film Worth Watching? Fans Call It 'Unhinged And Funny'
The creature thriller is back, but this time with a crazy comedy twist. Anaconda, starring Paul Rudd and Jack Black, is already winning hearts with its early critic reactions. What was expected to be a wild reboot has turned out to be one of the funniest movies of the year.

MovieDeaths couldn't stop praising the film, saying:
"Anaconda is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time and easily one of my favorites of the year. It feels like equal parts Be Kind Rewind, Strange Wilderness, and the original Anaconda, all mixed with an absolutely unhinged sense of fun."
Peter Gray added that the film being this funny was totally unexpected:
"One of the funniest movies of the year was not on my bingo card, but here we are! Spiritually aligned with TROPIC THUNDER, this is a love letter to film fanatics. Black & Rudd are dynamite."
Rosa Parra shared her excitement, especially as a fan of the original film:
"I had a blast with Anaconda Movie. It's unapologetically meta and I loved it. Black & Rudd are the perfect comedy duo. This is how you do a remake!"
From the most funny sequences to self-aware meta humor, Anaconda seems to strike the perfect balance between nostalgia and madness. The chemistry between Jack Black and Paul Rudd is being hailed as one of the film's biggest strengths, making this reboot feel fresh, fun, and surprisingly heartfelt.
If early reactions are anything to go by, Anaconda isn't just a remake, it's a full-blown entertainment ride that knows exactly what it is and fully embraces the chaos.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India releases Anaconda in theatres this Christmas, 25th December 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
