The official Netflix YouTube channel just recently dropped a trailer for an Oscar-nominated Indian short film that will be coming to the OTT platform very shortly. The trailer is for the short film 'ANUJA' and the trailer for it can be watched below.

The movie 'ANUJA' has been described by its official promotional website as follows, "ANUJA tells the story of a gifted nine-year-old girl who, alongside her sister Palak, faces a life-changing opportunity that tests their bond and mirrors the struggles of girls worldwide."

The director of the film also made his own personal statement on his website, saying that he thought of the concept of the film while working on a separate coming of age story. He was concerned that not many people were talking about the lives and stories of children and teenagers forced into child labour, and that there were important stories to be told. A lot of his inspirations for the film came from the children he met at Salaam Baalak Trust, many of whom had left school at a young age in order to help provide for their families.

'ANUJA' was directed and written by Adam J. Graves, who worked alongside executive producers Priyanka Chopra Jones, Michael Graves, and Anita Bhatia. Many other producers also helped with the creation of the film such as Mindy Kaling, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Suchitra Mattai, Krushan Naik, Michael Graves, Aaron Kopp, Ksheetij Saini, Alexandra Blaney, and Devananda Graves.

The cast list for the film includes talents such as Sajda Pathan, Ananya Shanbhag, Nagesh Bhonsle, Gulshan Walia, Sushil Parwana, Sunita Bhadauria, Rudolfo Rajeev Hubert, Jugal Kishore, and Pankaj Gupta.
