BAFTA 2025: Conclave & Emilia Pérez Leads Nominations; Here's Everything To Know About Awards Ceremony

The British Academy Film Awards for 2025, or BAFTA 2025, are about to start streaming later tonight, and in anticipation of the event, here are some of the details that you should know before watching BAFTA live on stream.
Films With The Most Nominations In BAFTA 2025
While there are plenty of very popular and well-made films that have been nominated for the numerous award categories for BAFTA 2025, there are only a few films that have managed to secure multiple nominations in different categories.
The two most notable films that managed to reach double digit nominations are Conclave with nominations in 12 different categories which include 'Best Film', 'Outstanding British film', 'Adapted screenplay', 'Cinematography', and more; as well as Emilia Perez with 11 total nominations in different categories. The latter film, though, may not be in the best position to win many awards during the event due to the controversy surrounding the lead actress, Karla Sofía Gascon.
Other films with a high number of nominations include The Brutalist at 9; Anora, Dune: Part Two and Wicked at 7; A Complete Unknown and Kneecap at 6; and Nosferatu as well as The Substance at 5.
Host, Performers And Notable Attendees Attending BAFTA 2025
This year's BAFTA 2025 will be hosted by David Tennant at London's Royal Festival Hall. Pop group 'Take That' will be performing their 2008 single Greatest Day, during the awards ceremony, a song that featured in the film Anora. Jeff Goldblum will also be playing on the piano as a means of giving tribute to figures in the film industry that passed away recently.
Some of the presenters for the awards during the ceremony include Selena Gomez, Jesse Eisenberg, James Norton, Tom Felton, and more.
Many stars such as Timothee Chalamet, Payal Kapadia, Kate Winslet and more will be attending the event, though notably Emilia Perez star Karla Sofía Gascon does not seem to be on the guest list.
