Fallout Season 2 Release | Ella Purnell On Lucy's Moral Fight In Prime Video Show: She Believes In Justice
Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video follows Lucy as she probes her identity and moral values while seeking her father. The series pairs her with The Ghoul, creating a tense dynamic that tests justice, accountability, and survival in a ruined United States. The ensemble cast expands the post apocalyptic narrative through shifting loyalties.

Prime Video returns to the Fallout universe with Season 2, sending its survivors deeper into a ruined America two hundred years after nuclear disaster. The Vault communities again collide with the harsh wasteland, where violence, dark humour and warped ideas of justice shape every encounter, and survival keeps staining personal beliefs.
Ella Purnell again leads the cast as Lucy, a Vault Dweller who stepped outside her sealed home in Season 1 and now faces a harsher truth. Her journey shifts from curiosity to self-examination. "The main theme for Lucy this season is very much about grappling with her identity and her moral values," says the actress. "She's looking for her father again, but for very different reasons. She's trying to reconcile the idea of the father she grew up with, the man who taught her the values that she identifies as a core part of her being, and finding out the truth about the horrible things that he's done."

Lucy’s search for Overseer Hank now unfolds beside The Ghoul, whose methods clash sharply with Lucy’s ideals. This forced partnership shapes much of Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video, as both characters chase the same man with very different outcomes in mind and leave a trail of uneasy choices.
This tension defines their scenes together. Purnell describes The Ghoul as "a not-entirely-pleasant road trip buddy." "They have very different ideas of what they're going to do when they find her dad," says Purnell. She adds, "Lucy, of course, wants to do the right thing. She believes in justice, and taking accountability for one's actions and possible redemption, whereas The Ghoul is more like two bullets between the eyes and you're done. And that's a really fun dynamic to play with."
Fallout Season 2 cast on Prime Video
Alongside Purnell, Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video features returning performers Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias and Frances Turner. Their characters continue to navigate irradiated cities, shifting alliances and old-world secrets, while Lucy’s crisis of faith and the brutal code followed by The Ghoul anchor the season’s central conflict.
Fallout Season 2 on Prime Video is produced by Kilter Films, with executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham. The series arrives for viewers worldwide on 17 December, promising another journey through a warped post-apocalypse where moral certainty rarely survives contact with the wasteland’s twisted reality.
