Justin Baldoni Claims Blakely Lively's Wardrobe Demands Shot Up 'It Ends With Us' Budget By $430,000

New developments have been occurring in the legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, as the director and actor accuses Lively of shooting up the budget of their film 'It Ends With Us' by $430,000 due to impromptu wardrobe demands.
In Baldoni's claims against Blake Lively, reports have stated that the initial budget for the wardrobe of the film 'It Ends With Us' was to be around $185,000 dollars, which is considered the standard for movies of that scale. However, costs soon began inflating as the wardrobe team reported that they had spent around $615,000 dollars while only buying clothes for Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's characters.
Lively would allegedly never attend fitting sessions, instead insisting that the clothes and wardrobe be delivered to her home instead, and that if they weren't a good fit that they be re-shopped. Baldoni also claims that she often disregarded the creative vision behind many of the clothing choices of the film, instead insisting on wearing designer clothes and shoes. She once demanded that she be allowed to wear $5,000 designer shoes in the film despite portraying a small-business owner.
It was due to these issues that Justin Baldoni eventually approached Blake Lively in her trailer to discuss the issue. He claims that his actions were misinterpreted as hostile by Lively with the way they were mentioned in her lawsuit against him.
These claims come as part of a $400 million dollar lawsuit by Justin Baldoni against Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and publicity team, with Baldoni suing them for defamation, civil extortion, and invasion of privacy. This lawsuit was filed against Lively after she filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing the director of sexual harassment on the set of 'It Ends With Us' as well as creating and managing a smear campaign against the actress in order to protect his own image. Both sides claim innocence and their trial will be held in March, 2026.
