Justin Baldoni Lawsuit: Actor Accuses Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds Of Plotting Against Him

Justin Baldoni has accused Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds of orchestrating a smear campaign against him. With new evidence emerging, he seeks $250 million from The New York Times and $400 million from Lively and Reynolds.

Justin Baldoni's ongoing legal tussle with Blake Lively has taken a new turn with his claim of acquiring substantial evidence against her and Ryan Reynolds. Baldoni, known for his directorial work in "It Ends With Us," has accused the duo of a premeditated plot to tarnish his reputation, which reportedly started well before Lively's unexpected legal action against him during Christmas. Documents recently unveiled suggest that the defamation efforts against Baldoni began no later than October 31, with certain metadata in a New York Times article about Lively's lawsuit against Baldoni pointing to earlier attempts to discredit him.

Baldoni's legal representatives have pointed out an intriguing detail in the New York Times coverage, specifically a "message-embed-generator" reference dated back to October 31. This piece of evidence supposedly indicates that the publication was preparing a derogatory piece about Baldoni long before Lively's allegations became public. This new discovery is pivotal for Baldoni's case as it challenges the presumed legal immunity of Lively, the publication, and associated parties from claims of defamation. The "Jane the Virgin" actor is seeking a staggering $250 million in damages from The New York Times, alongside a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds, accusing them of manipulating text messages to reinforce their allegations.

Bryan Freedman, Baldoni's attorney, has labeled the inclusion of this new evidence in the lawsuit as a "logical" step following the emergence of compelling proof. Freedman asserts that this evidence validates their suspicions of Lively and her circle orchestrating a long-term campaign to defame Baldoni for reasons driven by ego. He further accuses Lively and her associates of not just participating in but initiating the negative campaign against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios. As of now, there has been no response from Lively's legal team regarding these allegations. The case continues to develop, promising more revelations in the future.
