Kangana Ranaut Comments On Ben Affleck-JLO Divorce, "Not Look At West For Inspiration."

Kangana Ranaut recently went on Instagram to make a story revolving around people's perception on marriage and how differently it is handled in the east and the west.

In her story, she wrote "Whenever they mock Indian marriages remind them the most intelligent/ good looking actor/filmmaker / writer, so called the hottest man on earth Ben Affleck after many children many marriages still looking for that perfect wife. So is Jennifer Lopez, self made, the richest and one of the greatest pop stars ever, still looking for that perfect person. These two are so perfect that no one is good enough for them so after many trials and tests, children and families fed up by every one's flaws, these two decided to be together many times. But last time they took double vows and then within few months ran in the opposite directions to save their lives, they are in their fifties and again divorced and still looking. I have been in the west for a significant amount of time and in big cities they are always looking. For that purpose they have various apps also. They are always looking but never find anyone. Whereas in India we get married to strangers in arranged marriages and go for walks holding hands even at 80. Never look up to western culture. Our culture is distorted a bit by many factors we must get it right and not look at west for inspiration."

This post was made in reference to the divorce between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, which was officially finalised just recently, ending a 2-and-a-half year long marriage and months-long divorce proceedings. The divorce agreement was in its final stage all the way back on January 6th, but the couple could only be considered officially divorce from February 21st onwards. The couple officially tied the knot in July 2022 in Las Vegas, but had actually met and fell in love with one another almost two decades ago, on the set of the film 'Gigli' in 2003, so they had known each other for decades prior to this event. It was Jennifer Lopez who filed for divorce in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in the August of 2024.
