Russell Brand Charged With Sexual Assault: British comedian and famed actor Russell Brand has been charged with several serious allegations, including rape and sexual assault. Russell Brand is well known for his stand-up routines and was previously married to pop star Katy Perry from 2010 to 2012. After being investigated by the police several times, Russell was accused of several charges related to four separate women. Russell Brand Charged With Rape & Sexual Assault, Here's What Happened
The actor and comedian Russell Brand has reportedly been charged with "one allegation of rape, one allegation of indecent assault, one allegation of oral rape, and two counts of sexual assault." As per BBC's report, the Metropolitan Police wrote to Russell informing that in 1999 "a woman was raped in the Bournemouth area," in 2001 a woman was "indecently assaulted", in 2004 a woman was "orally raped and sexually assaulted" and in between 2004 and 2005 a woman was "sexually assaulted." "We have today authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Russell Brand with a number of sexual offences," said Jaswant Narwal of the Crown Prosecution Service.
"We have concluded that Russell Brand should be charged with offences including rape, sexual assault and indecent assault. These relate to reported non-recent offences between 1999 and 2005, involving four women (sic)," said the statement.
