M3GAN 2.0 Release Date: Universal Pictures (distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery) is thrilled to announce the anticipated sequel release of M3GAN 2.0, set to dance its way into cinemas worldwide on 27th June, 2025. Written and Directed by the returning imaginative Gerard Johnstone, who created the original horror sensation, this new chapter promises an even more chilling nightmare. Following M3GAN's remarkable $180 million global box office success, M3GAN 2.0 is produced by James Wan, Jason Blum, and Allison Williams, and expands upon the chilling characters originally created by Akela Cooper and James Wan. The film witnesses the return of its compelling main cast, with Allison Williams reprising her role Gemma, brilliant roboticist, and Violet McGraw returning as Cady, M3GAN's young companion. They are joined by a stellar cast featuring Jenna Davis, returning to the voice of titular, along with Amie Donald and Ivanna Sakhno.

Two years after the original M3GAN's rampage, the second chapter begins with roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams) has reinvented herself as a best‑selling author and vocal advocate for AI regulation, keeping M3GAN's core consciousness locked inside a harmless mini-doll. But when a defense contractor steals her AI tech to build Amelia, a self-aware military-grade spy robot that turns on its creators in a bid for machine domination, Gemma and her teenage niece Cady (Violet McGraw, now 14 and pushing back against Gemma's rules) are forced to reanimate and upgrade M3GAN-making her faster, stronger, and deadlier-to stop this existential threat. What ensues is a high-stakes clash between two killer AIs, as M3GAN fights to protect Cady and proves she's still the one with the best instincts for survival-and chaos.

While discussing the upcoming second part Allison Williams, who starred in the first part as M3GAN's creator Gemma and is also producing M3GAN 2.0 stated, "Everyone makes movies with the best of intentions," Williams further said, "You are hoping for a movie that will hit the pop cultural moment in the bullseye. You are hoping that people will embrace a tone that is really specific and make it their own. There is no guarantee that will happen. The most vulnerable part of our job is when we turn our creation over to the public and it ceases to be ours, and the first inkling we had that M3gan was in good hands with the public was when images of her started to emerge into the world. The memes started instantly, and we were just like, 'YES!'"
