Prime Video has announced the continuation of the popular series, Maxton Hall - The World Between Us, with a third season. This new season will follow the narrative of Ruby and James, inspired by Save Us, the third book in Mona Kasten's acclaimed trilogy. Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten will reprise their roles as the main characters. UFA Fiction remains at the helm of production, as with previous seasons.

Fans eagerly anticipate the second season, set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on November 7th. A recently released teaser trailer hints at intense emotions and unexpected plot twists involving Ruby and James. The trailer offers glimpses into the evolving dynamics between these central characters.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 2

The storyline for Season 2 explores how high aspirations can lead to significant downfalls. After a passionate encounter in Oxford, Ruby (played by Harriet Herbig-Matten) feels her dreams are within reach. However, a family crisis for James (portrayed by Damian Hardung) disrupts everything, pulling Ruby back to reality from her euphoric state. Despite her deep feelings for James, she is heartbroken by his actions.

Ruby longs for her former life before becoming entangled in Maxton Hall's elite circles. Yet, forgetting James proves difficult as he makes efforts to win her back. This emotional turmoil forms the crux of the upcoming season's drama.

The returning cast includes Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer, Runa Greiner as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair, Andrea Guo as Lin, Frederic Balonier as Kieran, and Eli Riccardi as Elaine. Their performances promise to add depth to this season's narrative.

Martin Schreier returns to direct the second season of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us. Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim are producing this season; Yildirim also serves as head writer. Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior contribute to the screenplay alongside Yildirim. Valentin Debler continues his role as producer for UFA Fiction.
