As per Sacnilk, Mission Impossible 8 earned a solid Rs 17 cr (English: 11.25 Cr; Hindi: 4.65 Cr; Telugu: 0.7 Cr; Tamil: 0.4 Cr) on its opening in India, surpassing the lifetime earnings of 3 MI films [Mission: Impossible (1996) - 2 crores; Mission: Impossible 2 (2000) - 7 crores; Mission: Impossible III (2006) - 10 crores].

After the record-breaking opening, the Tom Cruise starrer is on a roll today as well. According to the latest Sacnilk update, the film has already added Rs 15.73 cr (approx.) on Sunday (today, May 18) till 9:30 PM, taking the overall net collection to Rs 32.73 cr as of now.

Compared to Sunday morning, Mission Impossible 8 has recorded a solid boost in footfalls during evening shows. As reported by the same Sacnilk page, Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning has an overall 43.39% English occupancy today till now. That means, the film witnessed around a 78% boost in evening footfalls on Sunday compared to morning shows.
