Netflix Releases Official Trailer For Upcoming Anime Series 'Moonrise', Watch And Learn More

The official Netflix YouTube channel just recently dropped the official trailer for an anime that explores the struggles between different classes through interplanetary warfare. The anime series is called 'Moonrise' and the official trailer for it can be watched below.
For those of you that are a fan of watching anime revolving around large scale war and social issues, or those of you that are curious to learn more about what this series is going to be all about, here are some of the things you should know about 'Moonrise'.
Plot Details Of The Netflix Sci-Fi Action Anime Series 'Moonrise'
'Moonrise' has been described by Netflix in the following manner, "In a not-too-distant future, humanity has established a loosely organized world government with everything managed by an international AI network called Sapientia. People live peaceful lives by loyally obeying its rational decisions. However, Sapientia's lunar development project, which sends criminals and pollutants to the Moon to maintain Earth's peace, creates disparity and poverty on the Moon, sparking a catalyst for war. Jacob "Jack" Shadow gets caught up in this conflict after losing his family to a terrorist bombing by the Moon's rebel army. Vowing revenge, Jack joins the Earth army as a scout on the Moon, only to discover an unexpected leader among the resistance forces."
Cast And Crew Behind The Anime Series 'Moonrise'
'Moonrise' is based on a novel by author Tou Ubukata, with the series being directed by Masashi Koizuka at WIT Studio. Hiromu Arakawa and Ayumi Yamada act as character designers for the series, with artist AiNA THE END composing the theme song for the series "Daijoubu" which can be heard in the trailer.
Not many details about the voice cast of the series have been revealed yet, but we know that Chiaki Kobayashi voices Jack, the protagonist of the show, and that Yuto Uemura voices Phil, Jack's childhood friend.

'Moonrise' is going to be available to watch exclusively on Netflix from April 10th, 2025 onwards.
