'No External Injuries' Police Report As They Continue Investigating The Death Of Gene Hackman

Famous Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, as well as his pianist wife Betsy Arakawa, and his dog were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While an investigation is still currently ongoing, early autopsy results have revealed that there were no signs of external injuries on the bodies.

Still, a sheriff's deputy reportedly told KOAT that "The circumstances surrounding the death of the two deceased individuals (are considered) to be suspicious enough in nature to require a thorough search and investigation." The investigation is still going to continue as to how and why these deaths occurred, and perhaps more light will be shed onto the exact cause and nature of the demise of the beloved actor and his family.

Gene Hackman's daughter, Elizabeth Jean Hackman has also recently released a comment on her father's death to TMZ, stating that the cause of death may have been toxic fumes. She also released another statement to People magazine alongside Gene Hackman's other daughter Leslie Hackman, and his granddaughter Anna Hackman. The statement reads, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy. He was loved and admired by millions around the world for his brilliant acting career, but to us he was always just Dad and Grandpa. We will miss him sorely and are devastated by the loss."

They are not the only ones mourning the loss of Gene Hackman, as Bollywood actor and star Anil Kapoor also posted on X, formerly known as twitter, sharing his disbelief and grief at the death of the two-time Oscar-winning actor. In his post he wrote, "Cannot believe the world no longer has Gene Hackman in it...His effortless performances in films like 'The French Connection,' 'Unforgiven,' and 'The Firm' are just a few times the world witnessed his genius. A true legend whose legacy will live on. Rest in peace."
