'Offline Love' Japanese Dating Show Without Phones, Coming To Netflix Soon

The Netflix Asia YouTube channel just recently dropped a trailer for what appears to be a new Japanese dating show which has one primary rule, that no phones are allowed. The show is called 'Offline Love' and the trailer for it can be watched below.

Plot Details Of The Phone-less Japanese Dating Show 'Offline Love'

'Offline Love' has been described by Netflix in the following manner, "Following the success of popular reality romance series like The Boyfriend and Love Village, 'Offline Love' offers a fresh take on dating reality shows. Ten men and women embark on a journey to find love in the picturesque city of Nice, France, without using digital devices. But there's a twist: they only have 10 days to meet and connect. Despite no guarantee of crossing paths, chance meetings and inevitable encounters suggest that they might be destined for love. Will the participants find their soulmates and experience true love? Can love still blossom in today's world without relying on being online? Find destined romance without phones in reality dating series 'Offline Love'."

Cast And Crew Behind The Japanese Dating Show 'Offline Love'

'Offline Love' is going to feature studio commentary from three special individuals, those being former idol turned actor and producer Kyoko Koizumi as well as the comedic duo Reiwa Roman, composed of Kuruma Takahira and Kemuri Matsui.

Kyoko Koizumi had the following to say about the show, "I never really connected with romance reality shows, but this concept is fascinating: in a foreign country and without digital devices, participants rely on letters, promises, and coincidences to find love. I grew up without a smartphone, and every moment felt precious."

As of yet, no cast list has been provided yet for the show.

'Offline Love' will be available to watch exclusively on Netflix from 18th February, 2025 onwards.
