Smurfs Early Review: All animated film lovers have a reason to be on cloud nine as everyone's favourite smurfs are coming back. We are talking about the most anticipated release of the year Smurfs which is a American animated musical fantasy comedy film. Directed by Chris Miller and written by Pam Brady, Smurfs is a based on The Smurfs comic book series and is a reboot of The Smurfs film series. Interestingly, Smurfs is produced by popular star Rihanna and it has been creating a massive buzz in the town.
For the uninitiated, Smurfs has Rihanna lending her voice for Smurfette, who is the sole female smurf in the group, along with James Corden, Nick Offerman, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Jimmy Kimmel, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Kurt Russell, and John Goodman. In a social media post, actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhvi stated, "When Papa Smurf is kidnapped by the evil wizards Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette steps up as the brave leader, taking the Smurfs into the real world for a daring rescue. What follows is a rollercoaster of slapstick comedy, thrilling adventure, and genuine emotional moments. He further gave the movie a rating of 4.5 stars and emphasised, "Smurfs (2025) is a joyous, dazzling, and emotional ride that captures the innocence of childhood and the thrill of adventure. Meanwhile, talking about Smurfs, Rihanna, during the premiere, stated, "This is not just for the kids. I'm going to be a little selfish on this one because I'm a superfan of the Smurfs. I've always been a fan. I'm really excited for a new generation of Smurfs fans".
