After all, the much awaited Superman has finally hit the screens today across the world. Directed by James Gunn, Superman is based on the eponymous character from DC Comics. To note, Superman is the second reboot of Superman series and needless to say, asthe character enjoys a massive fan following across the world, it has been one of the most anticipated releases of 2025.

To note, this James Gunn directorial revolves around Superman who needs to prove that is the protector of the world as billionaire Lex Luthor had turned the public against him. As Superman has managed to create a massive buzz in the town, there have been speculations about how it will fare at the Indian box office.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal revealed that Superman is expected to see a good start at the box office. He revealed that Superman is expected to make a collection of Rs 7.5-9 crores on day 1 (first Friday).

Superman To Beat F1 On Opening Day

Interestingly, if the box office prediction turned out to be true, it will leave beat Brad Pitt starrer F1 which had minted Rs 5.5 crores in India. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see if Superman can surpass the opening day collection of Jurassic World Rebirth.

Meanwhile, talking about Superman, David Corenswet told GQ that he had never dreamt of becoming Superman. "One day I was in my home, fixing a light bulb when I got the call from my agent who said, 'Well David, I'm sure you know what this call is about,' and I had no idea and told him, 'What am I supposed to be waiting for, Top Gun 3? Just talk fast because I am on a ladder. Suddenly, he told me that I have an audition for Superman and that I am not special, and will have to send my tape in like everyone else and told me to not f*** it up," he added.
