We are talking about Hulk Hogan who was a renowned American professional wrestler who has passed away at the age of 71. Born as Terry Gene Bollea, the legendary wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer rose to fame with his ring name Hulk Hogan. His unfortunate demise marks the end of an era for everyone who grew up watching him rule the wrestling rings.

For the uninitiated, Hulk Hogan, who began his wrestling career in 1977 rose to fame after he signed with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) in 1983. He managed to grab the eyeballs with his massive physique and his bandanas and blond horseshoe moustache. In fact, he was one of the most popular and successful professional wrestlers during the 1980 and 1990. He had won the WWF (now WWE) championship 4 times and was announced as the WWE Hall Of Fame twice. This isn't all. Hulk Hogan had also won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times. He had also headlined the first nine WrestleManias.

Hulk Hogan Death Reason

According to a report published in TMZ Sports, Hulk Hogan died of a suspected cardiac arrest at his residence in Clearwater, Florida. The media reports suggested that an emergency team was sent to Hulk Hogan's residence following a 911 call about a suspected cardiac arrest. For the uninitiated, Hulk Hogan had undergone a major spinal surgery lately. In fact, the news of hus unfortunate demise has surfaced just a week after there were reports about Hulk Hogan being in coma and even experiencing brain damage. However, the reports were dismissed by Hulk Hogan's wife Sky Daily who stated, "His heart is strong... none of those rumours are true".

To note, Hulk Hogan is survived by his present wife Sky Daily and his kids - daughter Brooke and son Nick - from his first marriage.

According to a report published in Marca, Hulk Hogan had an estimated networth of $25 million at the time of his death.
