Digger Release Date Revealed: Makers Unveil New Poster Of Tom Cruise Starrer Film; TRAILER OUT
New Delhi, Jul 14 (PTI) The poster and trailer of Tom Cruise's new film 'Digger', directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alejandro G Iñárritu, was released on Monday, showing the actor in the unlikely avatar of an oil baron whose company may have triggered an ecological catastrophe.

Shot entirely on VistaVision, the film -- distributed by Warner Bros Pictures -- is set for release in cinemas across India October 2.
In the trailer, audiences get the first glimpse of Cruise as Digger Rockwell, an oil baron whose company may have triggered an ecological crisis, with potential to spark a nuclear war.
As the consequences of his actions threaten to spiral beyond control, Digger embarks on a mission to convince the world that he alone can save humanity before the disaster he unleashed destroys everything. The makers described it as "a comedy of catastrophic proportions".
The film is original production from Warner Bros Pictures and Legendary Pictures. Besides Cruise, the film stars Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Robert John Burke, Emma D'Arcy, Burn Gorman and Sophie Wilde.
The screenplay, written by Iñárritu, along with Alexander Dinelaris, Nicolás Giacobone and Sabina Berman, is based on a story by Iñárritu and Berman. It has been produced by Iñárritu, Mary Parent, Cruise and Michael Sharp.
Joshua Grode, Berman, Dinelaris, Nicolás Giacobone, Jez Butterworth and Emmanuel Lubezki are executive producers. Lubezki has also served as the director of photography on the project, while Conor O'Neill and Stephen Mirrione are editors.
