Kevin Feige Teases Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Says 'It Is The First Spider-Man Film In MCU That Is Focused...
The countdown for Spider-Man has officially kicked off. The film, set to release on 31st July, brings back Tom Holland as Spider-Man aka Peter Parker after almost five years and the anticipations around it are sky high. The trailer released a few weeks ago and gave a glimpse of Spider-Man's life post the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. As fans wait with baited breath to watch the film, Marvel head Kevin Feige has added to the anticipation with his recent reveal.

In an interview with Empire, Feige said that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the first Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that is accurate to the comic books. "It is the first Spider-Man film that we've made in the MCU that is focused on the classic elements of Spider-Man. He's doing the Spidey thing of living in a rather sad, small apartment, listening to the police scanner and going out and using his great power responsibly," he said.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton also teased Spider-Man's life after No Way Home. He said that after the traumatic events of the previous film, Peter Parker dedicates his life to his job. "That's the core theme that I find incredibly relatable," the director said. "I think most people at certain points in our lives have gone through loss. At least for me, and I think for many people, the result can be: 'Screw it. I'm just going to work. I'm going to do nothing else but work.' That's obviously not the most healthy state," he added.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, alongside Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink. Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release Spider-Man: Brand New Day in theatres on 31th July 2026 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
