May Day OTT Release Date & Platform: When, Where To Watch Ryan Reynolds Starrer Film?

Los Angeles, Jul 14 (PTI) Apple TV has announced that its upcoming action comedy "Mayday", starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh, will premiere globally on September 4.

The streamer also unveiled the trailer of the film, which is produced by Apple Original Films and Skydance Media, on Tuesday evening. "Mayday" features Reynolds as Lieutenant Troy "Assassin" Kelly, a US Navy pilot sent on a top-secret mission into Russian territory during the Cold War.

After the operation goes awry, he finds himself stranded behind enemy lines, where he forms an unlikely alliance with Nikolai Ustinov (Branagh), a former KGB agent with a fascination for American culture, according to the official logline.

The film is co-directed, written and produced by filmmaking duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, known for hits such as "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves" and "Game Night".

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger serve as producers for Skydance Media, while Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau produce for Reynolds' Maximum Effort banner. Reynolds and George Dewey also executive produce alongside John G Scotti.
