Prime Video Unveils Sophie Turner’s Fierce Lara Croft Look in Upcoming Tomb Raider Series

Amazon MGM Studios has started production on the new Tomb Raider series for Prime Video, releasing a first-look image of Sophie Turner as Lara Croft. The image offers an early glimpse of Turner’s version of the well-known adventurer and archaeologist.

The Prime Video series Tomb Raider adapts the long-running Tomb Raider video game franchise. The story again centres on Lara Croft, described as a world-famous archaeologist and adventurer, and follows fresh explorations that aim to expand the character’s screen legacy.

Executive producers include Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins for Wells Street Films, Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, Timothy I. Stevenson, Dallas Dickinson, Michael Scheel, and Legendary Television, with Matt McInnis and Jan R. Martin as co-executive producers.

Sophie Turner leads the cast as Lara Croft, joined by Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Martin Bobb-Semple, Jack Bannon, John Heffernan, Bill Paterson, Paterson Joseph, Sasha Luss, Juliette Motamed, Celia Imrie, and August Wittgenstein, who fill key supporting roles in the ensemble.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for Fleabag, serves as creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner on Tomb Raider alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Chad Hodge. Jonathan Van Tulleken takes on directing duties while also acting as an executive producer on the Prime Video series.
