‘Return Of The Jungle' Trailer Out: India’s Only Emmy-Nominated Animation Studio Unveils Trailer
India's only Emmy-nominated animation studio, Vaibhav Studios, has unveiled the official trailer of its much-awaited animated feature Return of the Jungle (ROTJ), ahead of its nationwide theatrical release on May 29. After receiving international attention with a showcase at the Cannes Film Market, Return of the Jungle is now preparing to entertain Indian audiences.

Th film is a modern-day Panchatantra-inspired story rooted in Indian culture. The trailer follows a group of junior school classmates and their friends as they navigate everyday challenges that often feel larger than life. Blending imagination with reality, the film unfolds through a unique dual-world narrative, seamlessly connecting the lives of children and jungle animals. Packed with humour, emotions, lively music, and an exciting cricket match, the film aims to entertain audiences of all ages while celebrating the child within everyone.
The film is directed by internationally acclaimed animation filmmaker Vaibhav Kumaresh, best known for creating iconic animated properties like Simpoo, the popular JioStar mascot, and Lamput, the globally loved animated series under Warner Bros. Discovery.
Director Vaibhav Kumaresh shared, "ROTJ is India captured in animation like never before! I am so happy that a feature film entirely self funded and produced by a small bunch of artists is finally hitting the big screen on 29th May."
Speaking about what inspired him to tell the story, he adds, "My dad is a retired Indian army officer. Thanks to that I have grown up in different parts of our country, met different people, cultures, and soaked in amazing stories. Indian mythological & folk tales from the Jungle have always inspired me. They are extremely entertaining, inspiring and fun but most important - they contain wisdom and valuable life lessons that are valid even today. As an adult, I was missing these stories, and when I saw young audiences eagerly consuming readily available foreign animation, I decided it was time for Return of the Jungle."
Produced by Vaibhav Studios, the only Indian animation studio to receive two International Emmy nominations, Return of the Jungle is set to arrive in theatres on May 29.
