The Furious Early Review (India): The much talked about Hong Kong action film The Furious has been making headlines lately as it is set to make its big release in India on June 18, 2026. Directed by Kenji Tanigaki, The Furious features Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Yang Enyou, Brian Le, Joey Iwanaga, Yayan Ruhian, and Jeeja Yanin in the lead. To note, The Furious has been one of the most talked about action thriller of the year which has been creating waves across the world.

For the uninitiated, The Furious tells the story of Wang Wei, a quiet and hardworking man who cannot speak. His life took a devastating turn when his daughter is kidnapped by a powerful international child trafficking network. Determined to bring her back, he joined forces with Navin, a fearless journalist who is investigating the criminal organization. Together, they embarked on a dangerous mission filled with action, violence, and shocking discoveries, as Wang Wei stops at nothing to save his daughter and punish those responsible. Interestingly, The Furious has created waves across the world with its at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival last year. This was followed by its release in Hong Kong earlier this month and was received well by the audience. And now as The Furious is releasing in India, here's the first review of the movie.

Taking to social media, actor turned critic Kuldeep Gadhvi hailed The Furious during its India premiere and wrote, "The Furious is a must-watch action thriller packed with explosive fight sequences, intense emotions, and edge-of-your-seat moments". He gave the movie a 4 star rating and wrote, "The Furious is a high-octane action spectacle packed with jaw-dropping fight choreography, emotional stakes, and unforgettable performances from Xie Miao and Joe Taslim. If you're a fan of The Raid, John Wick, or classic martial-arts cinema, this is a must-watch on the big screen. One of the year's most thrilling action experiences".
He further emphasised, "Xie Miao is phenomenal as Wang Wei, bringing both emotional depth and fierce physicality to the role. Joe Taslim once again proves why he is one of the finest action stars working today, delivering a powerful and charismatic performance. Their chemistry elevates the film and turns a simple revenge story into a gripping emotional journey. From an action standpoint, The Furious is simply outstanding. Meanwhile, Kenji Tanigaki recently got candid about plans for a sequel of The Furious. As per City on Fire website, Tanigaki stated, "I can promise you one thing, that if there's going to be a sequel, it will be a better film than the first".
