The Invite Release Date India- Seth Rogen On Teaming Up With Olivia Wilde: When She Described What...
Olivia Wilde’s relationship drama The Invite is heading to Indian theatres on 10 July 2026, with PVRINOX Pictures bringing the film to audiences across the country. The film stars Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton in an ensemble story built around the quiet pressures, misunderstandings and emotional negotiations that shape modern relationships.

The India release gives the film a clear theatrical positioning in a market where adult relationship dramas often depend on word-of-mouth. The Invite is being presented as a sharp, intimate drama about what people say, what they hide and what they fail to understand about each other.
Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde on building The Invite together
Ahead of the release, Rogen has spoken about working with Wilde and the film’s collaborative process. He said he was drawn to the way Wilde wanted to develop the characters over time and rework the script through new ideas.
“When she described what she was hoping to do with THE INVITE, I was interested in that collaborative process, developing the characters together over time and then reworking the script based on the new ideas that were emerging,” Rogen said. “That felt like a great way to capture something special and unique - and she and I excelled at arguing with each other.”
He also pointed to the film’s uneasy emotional setting as a space where his comic instincts could work differently. “I tend to thrive comedically in situations where there's a lot of tension and pressure and an underlying doom of some sort, and this was perfect for that,” he said.
Olivia Wilde sees Seth Rogen’s comedy as emotional honesty
Wilde, who directs and stars in the film, has spoken about Rogen’s ability to balance comedy and vulnerability. “Seth has this extraordinary ability to ground the most outrageously comic scenarios in such honesty,” she said. “With Seth as Joe, I wanted to warm people up with comedy, and then pierce their hearts with grounded emotional honesty.”
The Invite will release in Indian theatres on 10 July 2026. With Wilde directing and starring alongside Rogen, Cruz and Norton, the film is being positioned as an intimate ensemble drama that uses humour, discomfort and emotional restraint to examine modern relationships.
